THUNDERPLEX 14, NOTRE DAME 11

HERMITAGE -- Thunderplex rallied for nine seventh-inning runs Friday evening to earn a 14-11 win over homestanding Notre Dame.

Notre Dame (9-7) led 11-5 entering the seventh before Thunderplex (7-13) began its comeback. Ken Wallace's two-run single closed the gap to 11-9 while Ed Rogers tied the game with a two-out, two-run double. Craig Schumacher then put Thunderplex ahead to stay with a two-run single.

Rob Thompson went 4-for-4 while Mike Mattes scored three runs for Thunderplex. Lindsey Mizicko earned the win in relief of starter Schumacher, who pitched into the fourth.

Pat Connors, Sr. homered and added two singles for Notre Dame while Jim Connors went 3-for-4 with two doubles. Pat Connors, Jr. and Larry McConnell both doubled and singled while Ben Daoust and John Anderson each stroked a pair of hits. Mark Connors pitched into the seventh but took the defeat for Notre Dame.
