OUR GANG'S 7, JIM'S AUTOMOTIVE AND TOWING 6

HERMITAGE -- Our Gang's evened its record at 1-1 Sunday night with a come-from-behind 7-6 win over host Jim's Automotive and Towing at St. Paul's.

Our Gang's trailed 5-1 entering the sixth but rallied for six runs to take the lead for good. Jim's Automotive cut the lead to 7-6 in the sixth, then put the winning run on base in the bottom of the seventh but could not complete the comeback.

Greg Verch doubled and singled to help lead Our Gang's offensive attack. Verch also scored two runs while Ryan Briggs' two-run single in the sixth gave Our Gang's a 7-5 lead. Briggs earned the pitching victory, allowing 10 hits and five earned runs over seven innings. He walked two.

Brandon Sanchez led Jim's Automotive (0-2) with a triple, single and two runs scored. Dustin Kulka singled twice. Devin Kulka pitched four innings for Jim's, allowing one run and four hits. Bob Young pitched three innings of relief and was saddled with the defeat.
