TORNADO ALLEY 19, ITALIAN HOME 16

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP -- Tornado Alley improved their record to 15-0, but nearly blew a 16-0 early lead in the process. Italian Home scored 16 runs in the late innings closing to within 17-16, led by the hitting of Clint Ansell, Corey Trott, Frank Tamber, John Tomko, and pitcher Jason Evakich. However, Italian Home left the tying run on third base in the sixth inning.

Bryan Bailey started on the mound for Tornado Alley, and was relieved by Harry Bowser. Jim Kopan pitched the final 1 1/3 shutout innings for the save. He added late-game insurance runs with a homer and single. Chad McCombs and Mike Burke each had three hits, while Bailey, Bowser, Jon Murray, Marty Bour, and Brian Bodien all contributed two singles.
