NOTRE DAME 13, CHICCARINO'S 12

HERMITAGE -- Host Notre Dame scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh Thursday evening to earn a 13-12 win over Chiccarino's.

Chiccarino's rallied to take a 12-10 lead in the top of the seventh with four runs. In the bottom of the inning, Nate Banick belted a game-tying two-run double that scored Rudy Banick and John Anderson. Nate Banick then scored on a subsequent throwing error, giving Notre Dame its first win of the season.

Nate Banick also homered and tripled while Chris Clark, Mark Connors and Pat Connors, Jr. all homered. Rudy Banick and Anderson both tripled and singled. Jim Connors also tripled and singled while Jesse Polite doubled and singled.

For Chiccarino's (4-2), Randy McConnell went 5 for 5 with a triple, three doubles and a single. Cale McConnell doubled twice while Kevin Faber also doubled. Phil Ciprian singled twice.

Nate Banick earned the pitching victory with 1 2/3 innings of relief. Connors, Jr. started and pitched 5 1/3 innings. Ryan Briggs took the defeat for Chiccarino's.
