SHARON VFW 27, NOTRE DAME 11

HERMITAGE -- Sharon VFW made its League debut Sunday by earning a 27-11 victory over Notre Dame at St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

Nine VFW players posted multi-hit games. Jason Porterfield tripled twice, doubled and singled while Todd Davis cracked two doubles and a single. Todd Rearick and Billy Altman, Sr. both doubled twice. Shawn Matsko and Jordan Rearick both tripled and singled.

Also for Sharon VFW, Billy Altman, Jr. and Tyler Allen and Denny Yale each had two hits each. Harry Bowser picked up the pitching win.
